Restaurant Week Sept 13-19th: Get three course meals for a steal!

It's baaaack! Book your babysiters, grab your date, your friend, your coworker...anyone! Restaurant week, one of my favorite innovations, is once again returning to Nashville's independent eating scene. Restaurant week in Nashville is organized through Nashville Originals a group of local dining establishments.

Restaurant week is a great time to try some of Nashville's best known dining spots. A three course dinner at Cha-Chah, Germantown Cafe, or Suzy Wong's House of Yum is only $20.10. Some of the finer dining choices are also on the list for a slightly higher price: Tayst and Flyte are both available for $30.10 each. If it is still on the menu, you absolutely must try the citrus berry toasted pound cake at Tayst.

There are inexpensive breakfast and lunch options as well. Noshville Delicatessin has breakfast or lunch for two for only $20.10, a great chance to sink your teeth into Nashville's best meaty NYC style corned beef sandwich. Or if you favor lighter fare, grab a sandwich or salad over at Fido (offering two entrees and two drinks for $20.10). If you want to be the most popular gal at the office, the inimitable Provence Breads is offering a coffee and pastry pack for 10 for only $20.10.

I'm looking forward to trying out at least one or two spots I haven't visited yet. On top of my list is Suzy Wong's House of Yum, but F.Scott's and Acorn are both tempting as well.

For a complete list of participating Nashville restaurants and their menus, see Nashville Restaurant Week 2010.

Go eat!
