Reality TV Cook-off: Hell's Kitchen's Rock Harper vs. Top Chef's Stephanie Izard in Chicago

For fans of reality TV cooking shows, Chicago is about to dish up a unique opportunity to see, up close and personal, two of the hottest new reality TV chefs face off. If you are a fan of reality TV cooking with a little cash to burn, this is a really fun opportunity. It is being hosted by the Chopping Block, on Monday the 29th of September from 6-8 PM. There are only 60 seats available, so if this interests you, check out the official announcement on the Chopping Block's homepage.

Chicagoans fell in love with our hometown girl, Stephanie Izard, as she steamed, sauteed and sauced her way into our hearts as the warm, talented, girl-next-door who became the first ever female winner of Top Chef on the fourth season. Stephanie was one of the winningest Top Chef contestants ever, coming out of the gate strong in teh first challenge and never looking back. She was also the first ever winner of top chef to also be elected the fan favorite. After the show Stephanie set about opening her own top-end restaurant right back in Chicago.

Rock Harper, who hails from Spotsylvania Virginia (no joke), won the third season of Hell's Kitchen where he captured judges with his confident and strong performance in the kitchen, and charmed audiences with his boyish smile. His first job after winning landed him in a new Las Vegas Italian restaurant where the star chef was pulling down a quarter of a million dollar salary, a far cry from what he must have made when he worked at Bagel Bakery back in the day. He is working on a cookbook now.

For $125 you can get yourself a front row seat to the intimate 60-person face-off between these two culinary stars. While basking in fandom, enjoy appetizers from Stephanie's new upscale Chicago restaurant and Rock's upcoming book. Wine and beer is also included in the price. After enjoying the cook-off, fans can bask in the opportunity to meet Harper and Izard, including Q&A.
